It is this time of year when the chill of winter starts to subside I begin to think like my father. Then and today we remember times of a bye-gone era where everything moved at a much slower pace. For my farther those times were his yesterdays years.

It is readily apparent that the media is reaping huge profits from this years Presidential Primary season. The orchestrated appeal of Clinton and Trump has driven up profit margins of the likes of Media General, Time Warner, and Hearst Corporation. It is these corporations who are the real influencers that sway public opinion.

Talk about Gen Y and you would find yourself focusing on an area of awareness that cannot be overlooked. Today, the knowledge of this particular cohort – a set of people who have shared similar experiences in a particular time-span, has become more crucial for effective management. The criticality is because by 2025 the global workforce is forecasted to comprise of 75 percent of Gen Y.

As winter begins to ebb, the setting of the sun lingers just awhile longer before disappearing over the western horizon. It is this time of year that ought to remind one that seasons come and go. Through the centuries there have been many winter days and nights when man would often contemplate the coming of spring.

Through-out the history of mankind there have always been those who managed to amass great fortunes. The accolades that follow have always preempted the virtue of their good fortune. For the multitudes though, through-out the world have always languished hopelessly in desperation and despair praying that they too could rise up out of the depths of despondency, poverty, and woe.

The Roma gypsies, also known as Roma, Romani or gypsies, are people of Indian origin who are now settled all over the world. They have their own distinct social structure and laws that govern them.

Many people raise a hue and cry when the prices of agricultural commodities go up. They do not agitate for the steep rise in bullion, automobiles, real estates and other luxury goods. Why is this partiality in intolerance?

As one more Christmas is celebrated it is interesting to contemplate what meaning the festivities retain in an era which is becoming increasingly secular. The feast of the winter solstice is as old as thinking man, and was adopted by early Christianity, like other pagan festivals, to placate the Roman legions. People have always been reluctant to forgo a good opportunity to eat and drink to excess, and it is this same Epicurean spirit which keeps the festival alive today, in an age in which only a minority of the population assign it a Christian significance.
