Brainwashing alters the brain and when consistent and supported by social rules and accepted beliefs it is almost impossible to turn the mind around to new thoughts. That’s what it is like trying to advise others about reincarnation. Their receptors are not switched onto it.

The study of humanity is one of the most interesting of all the disciplines. At the heart of it is religion, rituals and how people perceive God and prepare for death.

History shows that kings, emperors and presidents have used the power of ignorance to elevate themselves above their opponents and seize control. It so strongly positioned in the psyche of their followers that death is nothing more than a trip to paradise.

The origin of terms we use on a daily basis are a record of past behaviour. Within them are locked ideas and the dreams of men that brought about progress from primitive beings into the human race of today.

A new study recently published in Current Biology proves that chimpanzees have the ability to communicate to other chimps warnings about a hazard if and only if the other chimps don’t already know about the danger. This adds to the evidence that chimps not only use sound-symbols to convey meaning, as we do, but also that they have what psychologists call theory of mind: an awareness that others have mental states (such as knowing something or not) different than one’s own. Chickens and other animals also possess this ability.

“Queer bird” is an old-timey expression for “someone regarded as eccentric or crazy and standing out from a group.” Back in the day, we certainly would have been regarded as eccentric or crazy, not to mention standing out from the scientific crowd, for suggesting that the birds and the bees might sometimes be “queer” in another sense of that term.

A friend of mine, who is black, said that all of us are racists as we identify with our own groups. My response is that there are miles to go between identifying with one’s own group and hating other groups, and that the two sentiments should be separated into benign patriotism and malignant patriotism. Benign patriotism wants the well-being of one’s people; malignant patriotism wants the destruction of somebody else.

What a wonderful gift it is when one knows where they come from and why they are here. The religious myths that prevent people telling of their reincarnation are a barrier to their experience.

Reincarnation memory is pointing the way to understanding this experience. While many have inklings about past lives genuine cases are turning up that confirm when, how and why they died.
